Does moonlight support photosynthesis?

Please provide the answer to the above mentioned question urgently.

Dear Student, The green pigment chlorophyll present in the leaves of plants absorbs light in violet and blue wavelength and also in the red region of the visible spectrum. This portion of spectrum between 400-700 nm is referred to as photosynthetically active radiation (PAR). The moonlight does not contain this specific wavelength which is necessary for the splitting of water molecule. So photosynthesis do not occur in moon light. Regards
