Does the bending causes by the accumulation of auxin at the root tip and shoot tip remains evergreen. i.e., the plant will not be straight again at the night( in absence of sunlight) ??

or
the process is reversible whenever there is sunlight the auxin accumulates, performs its work and went off, in absence of sunglight the plant is able to come back to original shape or structre.?

Pls clear my doubt, I hope I am able to present the query in an understandable manner..!!

Thank you

Dear student,

In plants the accumulation of auxin initiated the formation of new leaves in the apical meristem. Auxin has an important role in activities like phototropism as the direction of light is detected at the tip of the shoot. The auxin molecules in plant cells trigger the response directly through stimulation of certain genes in response to the outer stimulus thus bending of plant towards the light is a temporary process.

Kindly post the other query on a separate thread.
