Dp increases as no. Of solute increase but DPD says if we add more solute dp decreases

Please explain what do you mean by DP?
 I am answering according to my assumption-
The water potential will decrease when solute potential increases because as we know in pure water the value of water potential is maximum ., it is zero. Addition of solutes reduces the free energy of water. If the solute concentration of a solution increases, the potential for the water in that solution to undergoing osmosis decreases
