Draw a speed time graph for a ball thrown vertically upwards which comes to rest on reaching the ground 

Dear Student

When we draw the graphs for vertical projectile motion, we consider two main situations: an object moving upwards and an object moving downwards.
Vertical projectile motion is constant acceleration motion.

If we take the upwards direction as positive then for an object moving upwards we get the graphs shown in figure below.




Object is thrown upwards with initial velocity v. At highest point its velocity is zero and then again when it falls down its velocity increases.
