draw, line segment AB= 7.5 cm, and construct its perpendicular bisector
Dear student,
Steps of construction:
1. Draw a line segment AB = 7.5 cm
2. Taking A as centre and radius more than the half of length AB, draw two arcs one on either side of the line segment AB.
3. Taking B as centre and same radius , draw two arcs cutting the previously drawn arcs at points C and D respectively.
4. Join CD, intersecting AB at a point P. Then line CPD is the required perpendicular bisector of AB.
