On a piece of graph paper position your origin point and draw your horizon line
Position your protractor and mark your angles at 30,90,150 degrees
Draw three lines AB,ACand AD from origin A, such that AB=3 cm; AC=2cm and AD=4cm in direction of above angles respectively
The basic isometric setup is complete
 Now we will draw lines parallel to axes
To do this we will draw line 90 degree to horizon
Place the centre of protractor at the end point of each of the two lines except the centre line AB drawn before and mark 90 degreesDraw lines from respective end points C,D of length 2 cm and 4cm respectively in 90 degree angle direction
Now join the end points X and M of newly drawn lines to the end point B of centre line AB
Again place your protractor at end point X and mark 30 degrees
 Draw a line 4 cm in direction of the angle and name the end point Y
Join Y and M
 Your cuboid sketch is complete
