There is no tree diagram for diagrams. Below are some of the modifications of roots given: 


 

Roots are modified in several ways depending upon the function that they have to perform. Some of the common root modifications are:

1. Fleshy roots (fusiform) - Raddish (Raphanus sativus)
2, Fleshy roots (Conical) - Carrot (Daucus carota)
3. Fleshy roots (Napiform) - Mustard (Brassica rapa)
4. Root tuber - Sweet potato (Ipomea batatas)
5. Tuberous roots -      Dahlia (Dahlia)
6. Nodulose root - Mango ginger (Curcuma amada)
7. Moniliferous roots
8. Pneumatophores - Avicennia
9. Stilt roots - Maize (Zea mays) and Pandanus
10. Prop roots - Banayan (Ficus benghalensis)
11. Aerial roots - Dendrobium
12. Haustorial roots - Viscum
13. Mycorrhizal roots - Pinus
