dry H2 gas does not change the colour of dry litmus paper .why?

Solution:
Hydrogen is a neutral gas and a covalent molecule.
Litmus paper gives color with H⁺ or OH^- in an aqueous medium.
Since H₂ cannot produce H⁺ hence it does not show any color change to dry litmus paper
