than 10 million tons have been mining.
Asphalt starts out deepest in the ground
by crude oil. Heat, pressure and oxygen
drives by the volatile constituents of the
oil and transform it into asphalt. Then if
fissures existed in overlying rock, the asphalt
escapes to the surface.
