edla is able to bring about a change of heart in the pedler .justify this ?
 

Dear Student,

The peddler had a hard time when he was wandering having stolen Crofter's money and upon reaching the ironmaster's house, he found hope. Edla, the ironmaster's daughter greeted the peddler with generosity and made him stay the night even as his father had objected to it. Her kind hearted nature, humbleness can be seen when she gave a nice meal to the peddler and even gave him Christmas gifts. Seeing such kindness for a person, who was a nobody to them, moved him and caused a change of heart. The next morning, when he left, he decided to return Crofter's money and had resolved to escape the rattrap, thereby abandoning temptations and the greed for materialistic pleasures. He was then, a changed man.

Edla Taught the peddlar that not everything in life is a rattrap. And even if things are made to tempt human intentions, then a man must have the power to avoid it. Edla's humble and kind nature created a deep effect on the peddler's heart. Her sympathies towards him showed him love beyond boundaries. Edla did not care about his background or his appearance, but kept her promise anyway. This is what caught the peddler's eye and changed him for better.

Edla brought a change of heart in the pedlar through her love and kind act. She made the pedlar understood that , not the whole world is a rattrap. A man through his will power can resist or avoid the temptation of pork and cheese i.e. all those things that te,p human beings towards a negative side. Edla's kindness , sympathatic behaviour brought a sea cgange in the pedlar
