effect of temperature on intrinsic semiconductor

As temperature of a semiconductor increases, the conductivity also increases because more  no. of electrons are transferred to the conduction band that outweighs the decrease in relaxation time.

when the temp is increased then electron hole generation becomes greater than electron hole recombination and hence conductivity of semi conductor increases

  • 2

with inc in temp more ana more electrons become freeso electrical conductivity increases
