Hi,
Summary in English:
This is very sad poem ( cum story ) about the story of a father who was emotionally attached to his daughter. He was of a low-class community and was also considered an untouchable. His daughter's name was Sukhiya. Sukhiya used to be an energetic and young girl who used to got outside and play everyday.  One time, there was an epidemic spreading out in the area and it had affected most of the people there. Sukhiya's father was worried if his daughter would also turn out to be a victim of the deadly disease and advised her to stay at home. But it was too late, and she had already caught the disease. She lost all her stamina and grew weaker day by day. She gradually couldn't get out of the bed and her voice grew feebler day  by day that her father lost all the hope of getting her back to normal life. She had just one wish before she passes-She wanted to get just one flower from the offerings to the Goddess, which she thought would give her strength. It was the duty of a father to fulfil his daughter's wish and he set out to the temple, where he wasn't allowed to enter. He somehow sneaked into the temple, dressed up just like a normal person. He somehow managed to get the flowers from the offering to the Lord. But when he got out of the temple, the "higher-class" temple officials spotted him and thrashed him up and wasn't able to get the  flowers back. He was taken to court and then to jail  for a week. He was saddened as he was sure Sukhiya wouldn't be alive by the time he reaches home. After getting bail, he was scared to go home. And when he reached home, he saw their relative standing over there. He asked where Sukhiya was and his worries did come true: Sukhiya passed away two days ago! He saw her funeral pyre and remains and weeps and regrets over the fact that he wasn't able to fulfil the one last wish of his daughter, just because of being an untouchable...
Hope it helps!
Thank you.
