- Bullying involves actions that cause physical or emotional pain to the person bullied. It is unfortunate, that most of the times such incidents are ignored as being normal things kids experience.
- Bullying affects the person bullied, the ones who witnessed the incident, and anyone related to the incident. It should be dealt with through utmost seriousness and sincerity as it involves immense emotional suffering and might need therapy to better things.
- Not only does it lead to negative health but can also cause depression, anxiety, eating or sleeping disorders, decreased academic achievement, among other negative impacts.
- Bullying can be curbed by engaging the child into talking about their problems and coming up with solutions together by the parents. Children also need to be taught good conduct and supportive behaviour from the start.
- These days, unique cases of cyber bullying have also cropped up where people can undergo stress through social media posts.
- Parents and elders can help children deal with bullying by giving them confidence, teaching them ways to deal with bullies and helping them to bring them to notice.
