Enteral solutions. Explain

Dear student,
The word 'enteral' is derived from the Greek word 'enteros', meaning intestine; or in another words, the gastrointestinal (GI) tract. Enteral administration is the introduction or administration of food, liquid or drug in human body via the human gastrointestinal tract. This administrations can take place orally, sublingually (dissolving by putting drug under the tongue) or rectally.
Enteral solution refers to any liquid solution form which is administered in human body via enteral administration process. Enteral solutions are generally administered orally. Many drugs which are water soluble can be introduced in human body via enteral solutions.

Regards.
