Even thought the maharaja lost Rs. 3 lac, he was still happy. why?

 eventhough maharaja had lost 3 lakh he was happy as his kingdom was safe and was able to prevent the high ranked british officer from hunting tigers in pratibandapuram and also from taking a photo along with the tiger shot down by the king as it may serve as an opportunity for the britishers to exploit the king

A hight ranking British officer visited the forest of pratibanapuram to hunt a tiger with photograph but the king refused to give him permission because King thought that other officer could come if he allowed him. Consequently King stood in danger of loosing his kingdom.
