Beetles are of different variation such as green color and brown color beetle. Green is considered as negative variation as they were more susceptible to be eaten by birds, so they didn't reproduce to their full potential. But in case of brown beetle chances of survival were more and they become dominant. In that case brown color came as positive variation as their population increase more than green beetle.
