Examples of redifferentiation.
Dear Student
Answer: Redifferentiation is the process by which differentiated tissues of a plan (which have gained the capability to divide) lose their ability to divide but mature and undergo structural changes in their structure to perform specific functions.
Example:
- Vascular cambium gets specialized to secondary xylem and secondary phloem
- Tumor cell formation
These cells after dedifferentiation lose their ability to divide.
