Thank you expert for your quick answer but I am still not able to completely understand what this line means. I understand that the long line of African patriots who made unimagniable sacrifices ended because a democratic and non racial government was established in South Africa. But my main question is, why does Mandela say that the line has now started again with him?

Mandela said that the line started again with him as he was fulfilling the deeds and standing for the people as the older patriots did. With their end, their was a stop in supporting people against injustice. But Mandela started this practise again stating that the line has started again with him.
