Expert please answer me 7

Dear student,
Please find below the answer:

a. CaCl2 is a drying agent. Vials of calcium chloride are kept in the cup so as to absorb the moisture.

b. After a few hours when CaCl2 vials are weighed again, they will show an increase in weight. This is because they will absorb water which gets transpired from the plant leaf.

c. By showing the difference in mercury levels, a manometer indicates an unequal rate of transpiration from two surfaces of the leaf.

d. Transpiration is the process by which plants lose water in the vapour form from the aerial parts of the plant.

Hope this clears your doubt.
Regards.
