Miss Sullivan was Helen's friend, teacher and guide, she helped Helen through some of the darkest times of her life and it was because of her that Helen grew up to be such a remarkable woman. Following the incident of the 'Frost King' which filled Helen with much self doubt, Miss Sullivan, patiently nurtured her self confidence back, and it was because of her that Helen got over the incident, and started writing again. When it came to Helen's education, she would patiently sit and listen to Helen recite passages again and again, and help her with her pronunciation wherever required. Such perseverance, patience and diligence on Miss Sullivan's part shows what a truly extra-ordinary human being she was and hence, the credit to Helen's success solely lies with her.
