Solution: 

To find out whether sugar is D-sugar or not we have to see the position of -OH in the last chiral carbon. If the OH is on the right side of the last chiral carbon then it will be the D sugar and if the OH is on the left side of the last chiral carbon then it will be L- sugar.

If we see the second option, then in that case the first carbon will be the carbon of the aldehyde group and from there the numbering starts till CH2OH but CH2OH is not a chiral carbon because it has two same hydrogen atoms, so the last chiral carbon will be the carbon atom above to CH2OH and in that carbon atom we can see that the OH group is present on the left side, hence it will be the L- sugar.

Hence, the correct option is (2).
