After the completion of meiosis, the no. of chromosomes and amount of DNA in the daughter cells will be 8 and 16.
Meiosis is a reductional division in which chromosome no. is halved. Accordingly, if in the beginning (prophase I), there are 16 chromosomes and 32 pg of DNA in the diploid cell, the amount in the haploid cells after meiosis will be 8 chromosomes and 16 pg of DNA.
