Dear Student, Rust is formed when Iron comes in contact with water to form Fe2O3(Ferric oxide). In Blood globin chains provide hydrophobic environment to Ferrous inside and thus it is not oxidised to ferric form and rust is not formed in blood. Actually globin chains are formed of amino acids in such a manner that Outer portion of hemoglobin in hydrophillic and it remain soluble in water while inner core of Hb remain hydrophobic. So, for this question answer is option (3) Hydrophobic environment prevents ferrous to be oxidised to ferric. Regards
