Proletarianisation means a process by which people absorb themselves in employment by an employer in return for a wage. In Marxism, proletarianization is the social process whereby there is expansion of working class in the capitalist economy where capitalists in the greed of accumulating more wealth increases production thereby increasing the the amount of working class. It is an example of downward social mobility where people are moving from the middle class into the less wealthy working class.
