Radius (r₁) of larger circle = 7 cm

Radius (r₂) of smaller circle $=\frac{7}{2}cm$

Area of smaller circle $= {{\mathrm{\pi r}}_2}^2$

$=\frac{22}{7}*{\left(\frac{7}{2}\right)}^2=\frac{77}{2}c{m}^2$

Area of semi-circle PSQ of larger circle $=\frac{1}{2}{{\mathrm{\pi r}}_1}^2$

$$\begin{gathered} =\frac{1}{2}*\frac{22}{7}*7^2 \\ = 77 c{m}^2 \end{gathered}$$

Area of $△PQS = \frac{1}{2}*PQ*OS = \frac{1}{2}*14* 7 = 49 c{m}^2$

Area of the shaded region

= Area of smaller circle + Area of semi-circle PSQ − Area of ΔPQS

$$\begin{gathered} =\frac{77 }{2} + 77 - 49 \\ = 28+\frac{77}{2} \\ = 66.5 c{m}^2 \end{gathered}$$
