Experts what are ambiguous codons? And why GUG is an ambiguous codon

Dear Student, Ambiguous codon is the codon that can code for more than one amino acid. Normally the genetic codon are unambiguous but GUG is ambiguous codon because it codes for valine normally but it can also code for methionine if present at initiating position in the absence of AUG codon.
