Experts what is erythropoiesis? Where does it start in human?

Dear Student,

The process of formation of RBCs form erythropoietic stem cells is called erythropoiesis.
Erythropoiesis starts in liver.

Erythropoiesis  starts in mesoderm of the yolk sac from third week to third month in the embryo. Between third to fifth month it occurs in the liver and spleen and from fifth month onwards hepatic phase cease to exist and erythropoiesis occurs in the red bone marrow.

Regards.
