Explain about the tools in mesolithic age in detail

In the Mesolithic Age, stones were mainly used by the people. Weapons from stones were built to hunt and kill animals. Stones were used for everything in daily lives.  The tools and weapons which were made from small chipped stones were called microliths. The stone tools of this age were much developed compared to the Paleolithic age. It was used to make pottery, bows, axes and bone tools.

The word 'Mesolithic' comes from two Greek words- Meso (middle) and lithos (stone) which means middle stone age.
This started about 12000 to 10000 years ago.The people of mesolithic age used stone tools which were relatively tiny (they were called microliths or small stones).Some stone tools were saws,sickles,axes,etc.In this period several environmental changes had occurred.
