explain abt fertilizin & antifertilizin reaction

Fertilizin and the antifertilizin reaction is species specific reaction and its main aim is to reduce the chances of polyspermy. The ovum secretes chemical substance which is known as fertilizin that has multiple spermophillic sites on it where sperms get bound by their antifertilizin site, this way the population of sperms gets thin out during fertilisation and the chances of polyspermy event gets reduced.
