Resonance of LCR circuit has an application in the tuning mechanism of radio or tv set.For example in radio, the antenna accepts the signals from various broadcasting stations.These signals in antenna acts as a source in tuning circuit of radio.Therefore the circuit can be driven at many frequencies but to hear any one particular radio station there is a need to tune the radio.The radio is tuned to a particular station by varying a capacitor,which changes the resonant frequency of the receiving circuit.When the resonant frequency of the circuit matches that of the incoming wave ,the current of the receiving circuit increases.
