Explain briefly, the difference between scavengers and decomposers.

Decomposers (or saprotrophs) are organisms that break down dead or decaying organisms, and in doing so carry out the natural process of decomposition. eg : fungi, bacteria, worms.

Scavenging is both a carnivorous and herbivorous feeding behaviour in which individual scavengers search out dead animal (corpses or carrion) and dead plant biomass on which to feed

Scavengers- They are animals which clean up the place by eating the dead animals and getting energy from the leftover nutrients. Eg: Vulture etc.
Decomposers- They are tiny organisms that feed on the flesh of bigger animals after they're dead. Eg: fungi, mushrooms etc.
