Durganand Sinha has presented an ecological model for understanding the development of children belonging to the Indian context The basic ecology of the child was viewed in terms on concentric layers. The upper and the visible layers which included home, school, peers and so on and these factors interact with one another dependently. Also it contains "surrounding layers" that influence the factors of upper layer but isn't quite visible. The elements of surrounding layer includes geographical environment, playing facilities, localities and density and institutional setting provided by class caste and other factors and fodder and fauna. The surrounding factors that interact with one another may give result to different kind of circumstances for development of various distinct people.
