Explain- ?Facts are not science ? as the dictionary is not literature.?

Science is a systematic way of acquiring knowledge about the surroundings by careful observations and experimentations over a period of time. Facts arise from science but by reading only facts you will not understand science. Science is different and facts are different.
For example, earlier the gravity concept was given we knew that when we throw anything it comes down, this is a fact but the concept and explanation behind this is science.
Similarly, the dictionary is not the literature as the dictionary helps us to learn the literature but the dictionary itself is not literature. It doesn't mean that reading dictionary is reading literature.
