The G-77 is a group of 77 developing nations of the United Nations who have formed a loose coalition to discuss the matters of common economic concerns and enhance their joint negotiating capacity on all major international economic issues within the United Nations system, and promote South-South cooperation for development. . The body was formed in the year 1964 by the "Joint Declaration of the Seventy-Seven Countries".At present there are 132 members in the organisation.
