Explain GEAC and mention the responsibilities of this organization set up by the indian government

GEAC (Genetic Engineering Approval Committee) is an Indian government organisation. Its objective are to:

1.  examine the validity of GM (Genetic modification of organism) research.
2. inspect the safety of introducing GM for public services and for their large scale use.
