Explain how air support life .give example

Air is a mixture of all gases with oxygen being 21%. Without air no life exists. How will human being breathe or how will respiration occur? No exchange of gases will take place in the lungs. How will trees contribute to purify the atmosphere when ther eis no air? How will combustion or burning take place when there is no oxygen........air is very essential to support  life.
