Explain how balban maintained security and stability in his kingdom

Ghiyas ud din Balban was the ninth sultan of the Mamluk dynasty who ruled over the Delhi sultanate from 1266 to 1287. Balban maintained security and stability in his kingdom  by the following methods:

1. He reduced the power of the treacherous nobility in the Delhi Sultanate.
2. He enhanced the stature of the sultan in the Delhi Sultanate.
3. He repelled the Mongol invasion of the Delhi Sultanate.
4. He reorganised the military in the face of threats by the Mongols.
5. He also reorganised the land revenue system of the Sultanate.
6.Balban made people and nobles loyal to the crown.
7.He organised a very efficient spy system.
8.He believed in divine theory of kingship.ie;King is the representative of God on earth
