Explain how you would deduce that only the length of the pendulum decides the time period of the pendulum

in a simple pendulum

the time period of the pendulum is given as

T = 2pi root(l/g)

where T is the time period of the pendulum , l is the length of pendulum and g is the acceleration due to gravity.

Since g is the constant on the surface of earth we have l as the only variable parameter. Thus time period depends on length of the pendulum.

yes,when the length of pendulam is laarge & bob also heavy then its time period would be lesser and similarily when,the length of the pendulam is small & bob is heavier then time period would be greater.
