Q.7. The polarity of the membrane is reversed
(a) During action potential
(b) When there is nerve impulse at the site
(c) And the membrane is said to be depolarized
(d) All of these statements are correct

Dear student,
The correct answer is (d). This is because when an excitable cell is stimulated, Na+ ion channel open and sodium rush into the cell because of the concentration gradient. As the positively charged sodium enters the cell, the inside of the cell becomes less negative and the membrane is said to be depolarised. This is known an action potential condition and when there is nerve impulse at the site and the membrane is said to be depolarised.

cuz polarity gets reversed only when impulses r at the site and depolarized during active..
