Explain it urgent

Dear student,

In the above extract we read that after the marriage of Ranga and Ratna, the narrator meets the shastri and tells him how bad he was with his acting, while reading Ranga's charts. He informs him that the other day Ranga had visited him to inform that his son had grown to be three years old and he had named him after the narrator's name. To this, the narrator responded by saying that he looked like a piece of an oil cake and Ranga's son deserved a better name.
