explain nucleus with the help of diagram.

Dear Student,

It is characteristics feature of all eukaryotic cells as in prokaryotic cell the genetic material is not present in a membrane bound cell organelle. It is a double membrane structure; the outer membrane separates the cytoplasm from content of nucleus. In this envelop, NPC (Nuclear Pore Complex) is present which allows the exchange of materials from outside and inside transfer.
Components:
  1. Nuclear envelop – Complex structure having lamina and NPC and separates from the rest of the cell.
  2.  Chromatin – The genetic material which allows the passage of genes from parents to their offspring.
  3. The nucleus the DNA replication and transcription takes place.
  4. Nucleolus – It is the site for rRNA processing and transcription.

Hope this information will clear your doubts about topic.

The nucleus is an organelle found in eukaryotic cells. Inside its fully enclosed nuclear membrane, it contains the majority of the cell's genetic material. This material is organized as DNA molecules, along with a variety of proteins, to form chromosomes.

Or,
Structure: Nucleus is a spherical body. It has a double layered covering called nuclear membrane. It is impermeable to large molecules. The nuclear membrane has pores which allow the transfer of material.

Function: Nucleus is the controlling centre of the cell. It contains most of the cell's genetic material, organized as multiple long linear DNA molecules in complex with a large variety of proteins. The genes within these chromosomes are the cell's nuclear genome. The function of the nucleus is to maintain the integrity of these genes and to control the activities of the cell by regulating gene expression.

Thanks you.
