explain role of large intestine in digestion

Large intestine is the last part of the digestive system in our body. When the food enters the large intestine from small intestine it is already completely digested. Reabsorption of water and concentration of solid wastes is the main function in the large intestine. It also helps in absorption of some nutrients left by small intestine.
