Global warming is a phenomenen caused due to two processes --

  • Due to pollution all the pollutants go towards the ozone layer and are called CFC's ( Chloroflurocarbons ) which cause a hole in the ozone ( O2 ).
  • Due to increase in the amount of carbondioxide it acts as plastic. It forms a layer above the surface of the earth and due to the hole in the ozone layer heat and harmful UV rays enter the layer of CO2 but are not able to go back.
  • Thus the heat is trapped in the earth which causes global warming.

Global warming is primarily a problem of too much carbon dioxide (CO2) in the atmosphere—which acts as a blanket, trapping heat and warming the planet. As we burn fossil fuels like coal, oil and natural gas for energy or cut down and burn forests to create pastures and plantations, carbon accumulates and overloads our atmosphere. Certain waste management and agricultural practices aggravate the problem by releasing other potent global warming gases, such as methane and nitrous oxide.
