explain the contribution of jainism and buddhism to indian culture

Contribution of Jainism and Buddhism to Indian culture:

a. Both Jainism and Buddhism played a very important role in influnecing India' philosphy, culture, architecture , sculpture, paintings in India.

b. One may give example of Jain Dilwara temnples in Mt. Abu or many Buddhist rock carvings  and inscriptions have been found mainly following the old routes of trade and pilgrimage along the Indus. Inscriptions have been found on the Buddhist monuments in Sanchi and Bharhut in Madhya Pradesh.

c.  Both extensively contributed in the field of language and literature, in development of Prakrit language

d. Teachings of both Buddha and Mahavir impacted the people as they believed in the values of simplicity, ahimsa, kindness.
