explain the effect of hormones during oogenesis with the help of a flow-chart.

Dear student,
Please find below the solution to the asked query
Hormonal control of oogenesis
  • During oogenesis, the hypothalamus releases gonadotropin releasing hormone (GnRH) that stimulates the pituitary to release FSH and LH.
  • The FSH stimulates the growth and development of follicles and among them one graffian follicle becomes dominant.
  • The LH stimulates the release of ova from dominant graffian follicle by the process of  ovulation.
  • It also stimulates the graffian follicles and corpus leutum to produce oestrogen and progesterone.
  • This rising level of progesterone inhibits the GnRH and there by inhibits FSH, LH and progesterone.
