(ii) Foramen Transversarium
- A process projecting outward from the side of a vertebra is termed as transverse process.
- Transverse foramen or foramen transversarium is an opening in the transverse process of a cervical vertebra for the passage of the vertebral artery and vein and the sympathetic nerve plexus. It is also called as vertebroarterial foramen.
