Explain the germ layer system of phylum porifera.

Dear student, 
The production of germ layers takes place through gastrulation process in the embryonic development. There are three germ layers : ectoderm, mesoderm, endoderm.
Phylum porifera doesnt have any true germ layers as gastrulation process doesnt occur in these organisms.
