Anti-inflammatory effects
Androgens Most cells Promotes the growth of bones, muscles and blood formation in women and children
Epinephrine and norepinephrine Most cells Increases alertness, pupilary dilation, piloerection (raising of hair)
Increases heart beat, respiration rate
Stimulates the breakdown of glucose, lipids and proteins
