Explain the meaning of the following equation of motion v equal to u+at

Dear Student,

v = u + at
This is the first equation of motion. Here,
v = final velocity
u = initial velocity
a = acceleration
t = time

This equation helps us to find the final velocity of any object under accelerated motion. Given that we know its initial velocity, acceleration and the time during which the body was under the motion.

It means that when a body is in uniform acceleration then
Its final velocity is equal to sum of initial velocity and product of acceleration and time i.e.,
v=u+at
