explain the nutrient cycle in ecosystem

The nutrient cycle in the ecosystem is referred to the biogeochemical cycles of many elements within the ecosystem. The circular movement of elements is called biogeochemical cycles since these chemical elements, over a period of time, move through the living and nonliving environment. It includes the water cycle, the oxygen cycle, the carbon cycle, the phosphorus cycle or the nitrogen cycle. When the inorganic elements pass through the living organisms of the ecosystem, they often become bound up as complex organic substances ( for e.g., organic molecules called carbohydrates contain the inorganic elements carbon, hydrogen and oxygen). When organisms die in both terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems (called detritus), their bodies represent a reservoir of inorganic elements (nutrients) which are further decomposed.This way it circulates within the ecosystem.
